40 books!

Yes, the quest has begun! All students are expected to read at least 40 books this year. This reading should cover several genres and all books must be 100 pages or otherwise approved by me.

In addition all students will be writing me a weekly letter in their reading journal. This letter is expected to provide a brief summary of their reading AND their thoughts about the book. We're working on a list of topics students might include in class, and I'll get that list up online when we're done.

Students are expected to read every night, even when they have no other homework.
